Congratulations Krivo School of Hockey Elite Sarnia ON Silver Sticks Champions!

Krivo School of Hockey Elite 05 team won Regional qualifier in November 2015 and traveled to Sarnia ON for International Silver Stick finals in January 2016. Krivo School of Hockey Elite went with 6 wins and 0 losses, defeating Barry Colts in the finals in over time. Krivo 05 team came back from being down 0 to 3 to win in OT 4 to  3. Cole Bridges scored overtime goal on break away on a nice feed from Charlie Michaud. Lewis Beddow had goals in every game, and was named to Silver Sticks 2016 All-Tournament Team. Krivo School of Hockey Elite Squirt A 05 team participated in 2015 annual Silver Sticks Regional Qualifier held from November 26th to November 29th. For the second year in the row, 05 team won Silver Sticks with 6 wins and 0 losses, in 2014 in Squirt B division and in 2015 year in Squirt A division. Lewis Beddow earned team MVP leading Krivo team in scoring with 9 goals and Grant Gordon earned team inspirational player award. Charlie Michaud scored game winning goal in OT vs Arapahoe in the semifinals and John Gajdos won the game in the finals vs Littleton in the shootout to earn Krivo team second year in the row trip to Canada in the Championship game. Thomas Elsensohnk impressive performance in the net, gave our club every opportunity to win each game.  Special Thank You to Dave Gudridge and Eric Owen on helping with the team’s preparation and coaching. Krivo School of Hockey Elite 05 birth year team participated in Colorado State Squirt U10 A finals playing up in their respective division. Squirt B’s answered challenge by capturing Colorado Squirt A Championship beating Evolution 4:1 in the finals. John Gajdos opened scoring with a backhand goal to put his team on the board, Gavin Barr sored on the rebound, play made by defensive rush of Aiden Owen, and Charlie Michaud (2 goals) lead the team with a power play and an empty net goal . It was a strong performance by entire team that played complete game all 3 periods, from goaltending, defense, and offense. Congratulations 05s Squirt B team Colorado State Champions!

Krivo School of Hockey Elite 05 birth year team participated in Colorado annual regional Silver Sticks tournament held on November 26th-November 30th. Krivo School of Hockey Elite Squirt B battled as a team to capture Championship with undefeated record of 6 wins and 0 losses. Gavin Barr (7goals and 9 assists) and Carter Charles (12 goals and 4 assists) lead the team and all tournament in scoring with 16 points each. Colton Whitmore finished second in scoring with 8 goals and 2 assists (10 points) and Cole Bridges finished 3rd in scoring with 5 goals and 4 assists (9 points). Krivo School of Hockey Elite 2004 birth year team participated in annual Arizona Cactus Cup 2014 tournament January 17th, 2014 –January 21st, 2014. Krivo School of Hockey Elite deliver undefeated results with 6 wins and zero losses to capture Championship Crown! Mitchel Marker lead the team in scoring with 14 goals and 6 assist (20 points), Alex Bryson finished second with 7 goals and 7 assists (14 points),  Liam Fleet end up third in scoring with 7 goals and 3 assists (10 points). Goalie Caleb Allen was strong in the net with 6 wins and no losses throughout the tournament. Tournament HERO, Liam Fleet went “cost to cost” in third overtime final game to win it for the team with “top shelf snipe”! It was all team overall well deserved Championship win in Arizona!

Krivo School of Hockey Elite participated in annual Aspen Fall Face Off tournament held in Aspen, CO on October 18th-20th. Krivo School of Hockey Elite 2004 birth year team went undefeated with 4 wins zero losses and one tie, to win the Championship. Alex Bryson led the team and  tournament with 18 points (10 goals and 8 assists), Mitchel Marker 3rd with 9 points (5 goals and 4 assists), Liam Fleet 4th (4 goals and 4 assists), and Cai Robinson finished 5th with (5 goals and 2 assists). Assistant captain Caleb Allen was strong in the net entire tournament allowing only 2 goals in 5 games, finished as a top goalie in the tournament. Krivo School of Hockey Elite would like to congratulate Gustav Oloffson on being selected 46th overall by Minnesota Wild in 2013 NHL entry draft. In the past three years Gustav trained with Krivo School of Hockey Elite and we excited to be part of his journey. Gustav played in the USHL for Green Bay Gamblers last season, committed to Colorado College, and his rights owned by WHL team Portland Winterhawks. Endless possibilities.

It may be the offseason in most of youth hockey, but don’t tell that to the Krivo School of Hockey Elite.

In recent weeks, Andrei Krivokrasov’s teams traveled to Chicago and also stayed home to hoist more championship hardware.

At the end of April, the Krivo 2002 and 2004 teams won the Colorado Challenge at the Ice Ranch by defeating several AAA teams, including teams from the Colorado Thunderbirds. Each went a perfect 5-0 at those events.

Then after that, the 2003 team placed second at the North American Prospects Showcase (NAPS) and the ’04 squad won the AAA Elite Division, going 7-0 in the process.

Krivokrasov said the tournament wins were the result of hard work since the end of last summer.

“Our 2004s have done nothing but train for the past seven months and have been focusing on their skill development,” said Krivokrasov. “They played in just one tournament during the season and that was against other ’04 teams. At the Colorado Challenge and at NAPS, they just dominated everyone they played, including top Michigan teams with players from Belle Tire, Little Caesars, Victory Honda, teams like that.”

Having a dedicated group of players was a major key for the ‘04s in both Colorado and Chicago.

“One thing I really like about our ’04 group is that we have a deep talent pool,” Krivokrasov said. “Every kid from the top to the bottom developed and improved so much over the course of the year and to play as well as they did against AAA teams in both tournaments, which was really their first real test and first tough games of the season, says a lot about the types of kids we have in the program.”

As for the 2002 age group, Krivokrasov noted that while those players did play in other tournaments during the regular season, playing as well as they did at the Colorado Challenge is a testament to the players having aspirations to continue and want to get better every time they hit the ice.

“Half of our ’02 team is 2003 players,” Krivokrasov said. “The kids showed up at the Colorado Challenge and were up for the challenge. They were determined to win and even more determined to win against some of the top competition in Colorado.”

During the weekend of May 17-20, the Krivo School of Hockey Elite held its annual tryouts for the four teams that will comprise the program for the 2013-14 season and al four teams’ rosters are set. A new 2005 age group will join the school next season as a Mite skills program.

“The 2005s will be another team that will focus on skill development to get the kids ready to play Squirts,” explained Krivokrasov.

Krivokrasov said it speaks volumes when he noted that “99.9 percent” of players from the 2012-13 teams are back for the upcoming campaign.

“We have a very good retention rate with our players,” said Krivokrasov. “We might lose one or two players each year out of our 95-100 kids, but most of our kids come back and want to get better. These kids want to be part of a program that plays high-level competition and develops kids to be high-level players. All of the players on all of our teams compete so hard in practice and that helps when it comes to games and they just dominate teams.”

Once June 16 hits, the Krivo teams will skate once a week “to keep their legs in shape,” according to Krivokrasov who also said the skates are optional.

“These skates will give the players some 1-on-1 time with our coaches to work on individual skills,” said Krivokrasov. “This will help our players be ready and confident to contribute once next season gets here.”

Lead by  All Tournament and Team player, Captain Marek Hejduk scored 19 goals and 10 assists (29 points) Krivo School of Hockey Elite Squirt B played with class to earn another Championship title this season. Cooper Beaudoin notched 12 goals and 16 assists  (28 points), and not far behind Nikita Puzynia 5 goals and 18 assists (23 points), Cooper Warrington 10 goals and 4 assists (14 points), Gavin Heeks 2 goals and 8 assists, all finished in top 5 scoring leaders in the tournament. Krivo School of Hockey Elite Squirt B went 5 and 0 to capture 2012 Colorado Cup.  Marek Hejduk yet again lead the team and tournament in scoring recording 14 goals and 8 assists (22pts) Cooper Beaudoin (8goals/1assist) and Nikita Puzynia (6goals/3assists) both finished with 9 points. David Hejduk provided skilled performance as a D man on the blue line scoring key goals on the power play and breaking up opposition’s attacks. Krivo School of Hockey is pleased to announce the addition of Goaltending Coach Bo Storozuk. A product of Swan River, Manitoba, Bo Storozuk started is career between the pipes when he was 9 years old. At age 14 he represented his country and won Gold at the Sapporo Cup International Ice Hockey Meet in Sapporo, Japan. After playing Junior 'A" hockey for the Southeast Blades and Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, Storozuk went on to play Division III hockey for the Northland Lumberjacks, where he was named to the MCHA All-Rookie team. Midway throught his sophmore year Storozuk transfered to play for the University of Wisconsin - River Falls Falcons where he earned WIAC All-Conference, UWRF Scholar-Athlete of the Year, NCHA All-Conference Honorable Mention, and CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Second At-Large Team honors his senior year. After graduation, Storozuk went on to receive his International MBA from the University of Denver and now works for CH2M HILL, a global engineering firm. He has over 11 years of goalie coaching experience working specialized goalie camps and private lessons. He has worked with goalies at youth, Division I college, professional and NHL levels.

Congratulations, Jaccob Slavin, National Hockey League 4th round draft pick, Carolina Hurricanes.

Krivo School of Hockey Elite participant Jaccob Slavin, who plays for the Chicago Steel of the USHL, was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League in the 4th Round, 120th overall, in Saturday’s June 23rd, Entry Draft which was held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jaccob trained for 2010/2011, 2011-2012, seasons and currently training with Krivo School of Hockey Elite to prepare for 2012-2013 season with Chicago Steel.  This program is offered via invitation only to select Elite and AAA players.   To continue his development, Jaccob will be returning to his USHL team Chicago Steel for 2012-2013 season in preparation for Colorado College 2013-2014 season to which he has committed last season. Krivo School of Hockey Elite would like to congratulate Jaccob on every hockey player’s dream to be selected by NHL team, and his parents Rob and Wendy.

Krivo School of Hockey Elite would like to congratulate its 2002 birth year team on winning the first annual Colorado Challenge AAA tournament!

Our 2002 team showed exciting team play and finished the tournament with 6 wins and 0 losses. In the Championship game, Krivo School of Hockey Elite battled the AAA Thunderbirds 2002 hockey club to win the Championship 5 to 3. It was an overall team effort to win the tournament. Jack O’Brien lead the team with 3 goals in the final game to help the team win the Championship.

Krivo School of Hockey Elite Mite 2003 birth year team traveled to Colorado Springs to participate in the Colorado Cup Tournament held from December 30th to January 2nd. Our Mites finished with an impressive record of 4 wins and 1 tie. It was an all around team effort and Krivo School of Hockey Elite is proud of our Mite’s accomplishments this season thus far.

Krivo School of Hockey is pleased to announce the addition of Assistant Coach Marek Svatos.  Coach Svatos was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2001 Entry Draft.  In his 11-year NHL career, he has played for Colorado, Ottawa and Nashville.  He also represented Slovakia in the 2006 Winter Games in Turin, Italy

CAHA Approves Krivo School of Hockey Elite

On August 23 the CAHA Executive Committee approved Krivo School of Hockey Elite to an Association Status.

Jaccob Slavin made U.S. U18 Select Team

Krivo School of Hockey Elite participant, Jaccob Slavin, a 1994 Defenseman for Colorado AAA hockey club, has been selected to represent U18 USA National Team at the annual Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in early August.  Slavin was selected during his participation in the USA Hockey Player Development camp in July.
 
Slavin recently made USHL Chicago Steel where he will be playing 2011-2012 season and has committed to play NCAA hockey for Colorado College. Krivo School of Hockey Elite would like to congratulate Jacob and wish him good luck in Slovakia-Czech Republic and upcoming season with USHL Chicago Steel

Krivo School of Hockey Elite 2002 birth year team will be participating in Mite World Championship tournament held in St. Louis, MO on March 25-27th.

Krivo School of Hockey Elite participant Jaccob Slavin has committed to play for the Colorado College Tigers Division I in the fall of 2013. Jaccob,1994, from Erie, CO defensemen and a captain of Colorado U16 team was invited to play in the USHL for the Chicago Steel this season. In the spring/summer of 2010 Jaccob trained with Krivo School of Hockey Elite to prepare for the 2010/2011 hockey season. This program was offered via invitation only to select AAA players. Krivo School of Hockey Elite would like to congratulate Jaccob with this achievement.
